Yellow tie

I haven't been to the cinema in years and the echo of the hall did honor and pleasure to the music in the film. The main actor seemed small to me (but what do I know about acting, I can only be a critic), John Malkovich drew me in and he didn't disappoint me and something else drew me in: the fact that it wasn't the kind of film I normally watch. When you can't find an Avengers or a Star Wars in cinemas you can really find some good films and I've seen a few on the list.
The story of a man, about whom I knew nothing, gifted with genius and eager to work, which is almost nothing compared to what you see today. This man went through the heart of two wars, one at home and one in Berlin. I found my father in his father, I cried and I recognized the sadness of not hugging his father at the end.
I don't feel prouder to be Romanian after seeing this film but I feel happier that I was able to feel, at least for an hour, the joy of the man for music.
I liked the connection with images of landscapes from Bucharest or Iasi although I found digital processing distasteful and unnecessary for such a film.
To me it was a good film, seeing my childhood and it made me feel more connected than I do now, at 46 years old.
